Fichtner engineer state-of-the-art facilities for power generation. We develop customised all-inclusive solutions for power supply and offer services for public utilities and industrial bulk consumers. Our in-depth familiarity with all influencing factors, procedures and planning phases also provides a sound basis for optimisation of operation and assessment of existing plants, for example for due diligence appraisals.
Planning and optimisation of systems for mains-borne transmission and distribution of energy media are key business activities of Fichtner. Our range of services covers all aspects of electricity transmission and distribution, gas transportation and gas storage, district heating and district cooling.
We are currently managing construction projects with a combined value of circa £600 million, all of which incorporate heat recovery steam boilers and steam turbine generation sets. The projects use a variety of interesting fuels including natural gas, process gas, coal, wood, biomass, and waste many of which are embedded in industrial complexes.
For the transportation and distribution of energy media, Fichtner Consulting Engineers offers services in:
